55 page-one rankings in ten months

Paramount Space Cleaning came to us with a website that was, for all practical purposes, invisible. No analytics, no search presence, and a business growing on word of mouth alone.

Where we started

A site that did not exist online

The business was growing on reputation alone, but the website was not pulling its weight. Our initial audit found a site invisible to Google, with no tracking installed — so the client had no idea whether it was generating any business at all.

  • No privacy policy or GDPR complianceA legal risk, and a trust signal Google takes seriously.
  • Unprotected formsWide open to spam, with no CAPTCHA anywhere.
  • No backup systemAny server issue could have wiped the lot.
  • No analytics or Search ConsoleZero visibility into what was happening.
  • No schema markupNothing helping Google understand what the business does.
  • Thin service pagesLittle value to visitors or to search engines.
  • Manual quotingHours each week handling quotes by hand, with no lead tracking and no follow-up for anyone who dropped out mid-enquiry.
What we did

A complete overhaul, not a patch

Rather than fixing issues individually, we rebuilt the site’s SEO foundations, compliance posture and lead generation together.

  • Compliance and securityPrivacy policy and GDPR statement written, CAPTCHA across all forms, automated backups configured. Unglamorous, and essential.
  • Tracking from scratchGoogle Analytics 4 and Search Console set up, giving the client their first real window into performance.
  • Schema markupLocalBusiness, Service and FAQPage added so Google can read and display the business correctly.
  • Every service page rewrittenTargeting terms real people in Coventry search for, not generic industry phrases. Meta titles refined against actual CTR data.
  • Local SEOGoogle Business Profile optimised, citations built across UK directories, content structured around location intent.
  • A custom quote systemMulti-step form calculating room-by-room pricing in real time, capturing details at step one so an abandoned form still leaves a lead. Conversion dashboard, postcode mapping, automated confirmations and abandoned-quote recovery emails. The client adjusts all pricing without touching code.
  • B2B outreach we runA targeted email campaign winning commercial contracts directly. SEO captures people already searching; outreach opens conversations with businesses that are not yet looking.
  • Ongoing contentBlog posts built around specific keyword gaps found in Search Console, with internal links pushing authority to the pages that need it.
Results

Search visibility, month by month

Work started mid-October. By mid-November the site had reached page one for core local terms. Search Console shows impressions growing more than fourfold between December and July, before settling into a steady plateau of around 13,000 a month.

MonthImpressionsDaily average
December3,150102
January3,849124
February5,200186
March6,625214
April6,798227
May9,680312
June17,159572
July13,282428

*June includes a single-day spike of 3,709 impressions on the 8th, against a baseline of roughly 460 a day. Excluding it, June ran at 464 a day — level with July.

Where the clicks actually come from

One pattern worth drawing out: mobile searchers act on the listing far more readily than desktop ones. Mobile results earn a 1.22% click-through rate from an average position of 14.7, while desktop sits at 0.32% from position 21.6 — yet desktop accounts for two thirds of all impressions.

That gap is the current focus of the ongoing work. The listings are being seen; the job now is closing the distance between impression and click on the terms that matter commercially, and lifting the deeper service pages that are drawing impressions from positions too low to convert.

The commercial shift

Towards higher-value work

As the commercial cleaning pages gained traction and the outreach system started landing conversations, Paramount pivoted from primarily domestic jobs towards commercial contracts. The average value of enquiries rose accordingly.

The standout proof point is a single £7,000 commercial clean instigated through organic search — the kind of job that was simply not reaching the business when the website was invisible.

Return on investment. Against £750 of one-off setup and £200 a month, that single job has already returned many times the entire first-year cost — before counting the steady domestic and commercial work the site generates day to day.

How people enquire changed

One effect of the quote system is worth flagging, because on paper it looks like bad news: form submissions dropped to almost nothing. That was by design.

Visitors now get an instant itemised price on the site, with their details captured at the first step. Enquiries did not fall — they changed channel, from contact forms to instant quotes, phone calls and email. A faster route for the customer and a better-qualified lead for Paramount. A low form-submission count here is the system working, not a drop in business.

Positions verified by independent SERP checking from a Coventry location. Search Console reports a blended average across every location, device and personalised result, so the figures it shows for the same terms will differ — and generally look lower.

The page-two keywords cluster around office and commercial cleaning — which is exactly where the higher-value contracts sit. Ongoing support, targeted content and internal linking are pushing those towards page one.

The site now scores 89 for on-page SEO health and 88 for page speed, with no critical coverage issues. Check your own with our free health score checker.
